Funeral services are held at this Derbyshire crematorium between 08:30 and 15:30, Monday to Friday and 08:30 and 12:30 on Saturdays. Funeral services outside of these hours may be arranged but only with the express permission of the manager.
Chesterfield and District Crematorium facilities are suitable for religious funerals of many faiths and denominations, as well as non-religious funerals and celebrations of life. The crematorium chapel has capacity for up to 100 people and is wheelchair accessible.
Chesterfield and District Crematorium chapel has a Wesley music system and a library of thousands of songs to choose from to accompany a service. A slideshow can also be displayed alongside music on the 50 inch screens mounted in the chapel.
Full funeral services in the chapel are allocated 40 minute time slots, with 20 minutes allowed for committal services. Additional time for longer funerals or celebrations of life can be booked in either 20 or 40 minute segments.
Induction loops are available for the hard of hearing in both the chapel and the reception area of the crematorium office and disabled toilet facilities are also available onsite.
The gardens of remembrance at Chesterfield and District Crematorium open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, you can also view the book of remembrance during these times.
On weekends and holidays the grounds are open from 11am. They close at 4pm during December and January, 5pm in February, March, April, October and November, and at 6pm from May to September.
There is parking for 60 vehicles, including six disabled parking bays, at the crematorium.
