Exeter and Devon Crematorium

Exeter and Devon Crematorium, in Exeter, has served the local community since 1963. The grounds were once part of the Victorian Northbrook Park Estate.

The crematorium has two multi-faith chapels which can seat large numbers of people. A vast range of songs can be played on the Wesley Music System.

Exeter and Devon Crematorium keeps its Book of Remembrance in a dedicated memorial chapel, which can also accommodate memorial services.

Exeter and Devon Crematorium provides disabled parking and toilets, and a hearing loop.

The Garden of Remembrance features a lake, rose garden and many established trees, including oaks, chestnuts and cedars. The walls of a 19th century Ha-Ha still survive in the garden. A flock of white fantail doves also live on site. The banks of the River Exe can also be accessed from the crematorium’s grounds.

A range of different memorials, including benches and private gardens, can be installed in the gardens.

The Crematorium Office is open 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. The Memorial Office is open 9am-5pm Monday to Friday and 9am-3pm on Saturdays.

The Book of Remembrance Room is open 9am-5pm Monday to Friday and 10am-3pm on weekends and Bank Holidays. The grounds and Garden of Remembrance is open 24 hours a day all year round.
