Accommodating funerals of many religious faiths and denominations, as well as non-religious services and celebrations of life, the wheelchair accessible chapel has seating for up to 100 mourners, with additional standing room.
Extra seating is also available for larger funeral services, with induction loops for the hard of hearing.
Funeral services are allocated 60 minutes at the crematorium chapel, with extra time available by request. Funeral services are held here between 8.30am and 4pm Monday to Friday, while Saturday morning services are available by appointment and subject to a surcharge.
Gilroes Crematorium chapel has a Wesley music system with a wide variety of music to choose from as well as an organ that can be used during services.
Live musical performances are also welcome by arrangement and services can be recorded or filmed.
The Leicester crematorium has a waiting area with refreshments available and toilet facilities. Onsite parking includes allocated spaces for disabled drivers, with a public car park also situated conveniently nearby.
Gilroes Cemetery and Crematorium grounds are open to visitors between dawn and dusk, every day of the year.
