Sherwood Forest Crematorium in New Ollerton, Nottinghamshire provides professional and compassionate services for the local community in tranquil surroundings.
Cremation services are 45 minutes, but longer times can be arranged on request. They cater for all religious faiths and denominations as well as non-religious funeral services and celebrations of life.
Music can be provided on a traditional organ or through their Wesley Media System.
The crematorium can keep the ashes, without charge, for as long as necessary. You can scatter or bury them in their Garden of Remembrance. Tributes to the person who has died can also be entered in their Book of Remembrance.
Sherwood Forest crematorium, which was dedicated by the Bishop of Southwell in 2006, was the first crematorium in the UK to be installed with equipment that prevents heavy metal pollution in the environment.
The crematorium holds an annual open day and members of the public are free to visit and talk to their highly-trained staff at any time.
Sherwood Forest Crematorium’s offices and Book of Remembrance Room are open 9-5, Monday to Friday, and the grounds are open 9-5, seven days a week, including bank holidays.
