An empty chair
By Funeral Inspirations
This heartfelt Poem is about saying goodbye to great-Grandpa. Believes that Grandpa is finally now at peace and will be missed every day.
An empty chair Poem Lyrics
There in the corner sits a chair,
It’s empty now that you’re not there,
It’s quiet without your laughing roar,
It’s sad that I will hear that laugh no more.
It’s cruel that you had to go,
One day here, the next day, no.
No longer sharing your best thoughts,
The happiness and the joy you brought.
It’s time for us to separate,
But you’ll be waiting by the gate,
Ready to take me by the hand,
where we’ll sit and laugh together, in the promised land.
