From an Ever-Loving Granddaughter
By Funeral Inspirations
A poem from grandaughter to late grandfather about unforgettable memories they had
From an Ever-Loving Granddaughter Poem Lyrics
From an ever-loving granddaughter,
To a grandad I adored,
How much fun we both did have,
How we never once got bored.
We’d share our funny stories,
You had many more than me,
But you’d listen, like on tenterhooks,
Your love so clear to see.
We’d play board games past my bedtime,
Or sit quietly, but together,
It’s a shame that life is so damn short,
Why you can’t be here forever.
You’d show me magic tricks that I
could not see how they were done,
I loved you every minute and
I loved you from day one.
So yes we are now parted,
Life so cruelly taken away,
But I’ll think about you dearly,
Until we meet again, one day.
