Maybe it was hard for you,
But it would never ever show,
Maybe things were tough for you,
But you still smiled, we’d never know.
Maybe some folk were not so kind,
But that didn’t change your view,
Maybe you could have reacted,
But that was never what you’d do.
Maybe you got lonely,
But you would never ever say,
Maybe you put all others first,
No buts, it was your way.
Maybe you will miss us all,
I’m sure that it is true,
But no more maybes grandma,
Please know that we loved you.
