Remember when I was little,
You’d sit me on your knee,
And sing me songs and make me smile,
Time spent so happily.
As I grew a bit bigger,
We were still the best of friends,
And I knew we’d stay like that until
the very very end.
And then I was an adult,
But you were still around,
You listen and offer advice,
Which was always so profound.
Now I’m getting older,
And sadly you have passed,
But I smile at all our memories,
And will do so ’til the last.
