My grandad always made me smile
when I was just a lad,
I often joke about him
to a friend, a friend I call my dad.

He agrees with me in what I say,
With what I plan to do,
To honour the man who meant so much,
That man of course is you.

I’ll try to smile and do my best,
And always carry on,
Together with my dad though
we’ll miss you know you’re gone.

All the fun and jokes that we shared,
Creating laughter, was your way,
To my grandad and my own dad’s dad,
Please know we loved you every day.
